Dell Aero available now for $99

The Dell Aero has made it’s way into AT&T stores and you can pick one up for $99, but should you? The Aero is a decent phone, but with it’s outdated Android 1.5 operating system and 640×360 pixel 3.5″ display there are much better.

aeroIt features a 624MHz processor (much slower than the 1GHz we’re used to on newer Android phones) and a 5Mp camera with LED flash. Even though it can take HD photos it can’t film in HD due to the slower processor.

Basically the biggest deal breaker with this phone is the 16 month old Android 1.5 software. The software is so old that many apps in the Android marketplace won’t even run on it, and it lacks the latest improvements to the user interface, software keyboard, Google Maps, live wallpapers, and voice commands. Basically with Android 1.5 this phone isn’t worth paying any price for with so many other options out there.
