The Palm Pre is Palm’s latest venture into the smartphone arena. It has their much hyped new Palm webOS operating system and is meant to compete with the likes of the iPhone and blackberry. The Pre has several strong points including its multitasking capabilities and notifications systems. Its vibrant display with multitouch functionality is very nice and its web browser is very solid. It has good call quality and wireless options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

The downsides are its cramped keyboard and short battery life. It also can’t film videos with its camera and still no flash support for its browser. Other than these few downsides the Palm Pre is a very nice smartphone for on the go professionals, and it’s available for only $149.99 with a new contract from Sprint.
